Why Solomon Hills

The opportunity before us is rare. The land is here. The need is real. And the time to act is now.

Why Solomon Hills

Every family deserves a place to call home, a neighborhood where kids walk to school, where the coffee shop is around the corner, where a first house isn’t just a dream deferred. For too many working families in North County, that reality feels out of reach.

Solomon Hills exists to change that.

For more than a century, 1,900 acres of land just west of Highway 101 has been in oil and gas production, out of sight and out of the community’s future. Now, for the first time, there is a real opportunity to transform that land into something lasting: a walkable, thriving community where 70% of homes are designed to be attainable for the teachers, nurses, tradespeople, and first-time buyers who are the heart of North County life.

This is more than a housing project. It’s a chance to build the kind of place people actually want to live, where trails wind through open space, where neighbors gather at a village center, where jobs are close and commutes are short, where kids walk or ride their bikes to school, and where the land itself is stewarded with care for generations to come.

North County is growing. The question isn’t whether change is coming, it’s whether we shape that change with intention and purpose.

Solomon Hills is our answer: a bold, hopeful vision for what a community can be when we design it around people, not just parcels.

The opportunity before us is rare. The land is here. The need is real. And the time to act is now.
